International Trade Consultancy

International trade is the cross-border exchange of goods, services and capital between different national economic operators. With the creation of the EU, individual countries have become part of a common market without internal and fiscal and customs borders between Member States, in which, among other things, the free movement of goods and services takes place. For this reason, a different regime applies to imports and exports from the EU and to imports and exports from / to third countries. In the article we will present some institutes related to international trade in general, as well as certain aspects resulting from imports and exports carried out under the conditions of EU Member States and non-member states.

Several factors must be taken into account in international trade advice.

Services Description

Entities regulate their mutual rights and obligations in international trade contracts. Regarding the legal relations between the resident and the foreigner, the situation is complicated by the differences between the legal regulations and the commercial practices of each country. For this reason there was a need to unify certain rules that go beyond the national legislative framework.

To avoid any inconsistencies in different interpretations of delivery terms in different countries, the Paris International Chamber of Commerce has created a set of the most commonly used Incoterms (originally from the English International Trade Terms). Incoterms deals with the relationships arising from the purchase contract, obligations during customs clearance, packaging of goods or acceptance of delivery. However, incotherms are not in the nature of a legal rule and become binding only if the text of the procurement contract explicitly refers to them, they determine the relationship only between the seller and the buyer.

Within the EU, there is a system where there is no longer any taxation or application of customs duties within the EU, ie it is a single trading area where goods move freely, regardless of the country in which they were produced. In the case of goods imported from a third country, the duty is paid only on their first entry into the EU; therefore, no other fees are required and should not be subject to any further checks.

Business risk (BR) is an integral part of every business. There is a danger that the real economic results obtained from the business activity will differ from the expected ones. Deviations can be desirable and undesirable (losses, bankruptcy, bankruptcy).
The main causes and types of business risks in international trade may depend on the dependence on business activity, but also on the individual activities of the company.

In international trade, the international procurement contract is the basic contractual instrument of international trade. Its general legislation is the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. International procurement agreement – is the engine of international trade, and its correct wording therefore has a great influence on the appropriate course of procurement.

After an international procurement contract, the most used type of contract is precisely the international transport contracts, which form a certain bridge between the individual components of the business cycle. While maritime transport still dominates the world, road transport is the number one priority in the EU. National legislation usually contains only a general regulation of the contractual transport of goods. A greater possibility of more detailed regulation of rights and obligations is left to transport regulations and tariffs and it is not possible to forget the international agreements that are binding on the Slovak Republic, provided that they are published in the Collection of Laws.
